XBox Aladdin XTREME v1.6 installation
XBox Aladdin LIVE XTREME ModChip direction
modchip.org has compiled this info so that you may be better informed about our products and the installation.
If you have any questions please contact at first our Forum.

You can install the Aladdin XTREME with the PIN-HEADER (included in the parcel) or direct soldering to the motherboard (on the LPC bus).
(Hint: we recommend the easyer PIN-HEADER installation. With this installation can you easy remove the chip from the mainboard)

PIN Header Installation

This is the area you will be working with. This is the LPC port that you will be soldering the pin header to. As you can see the holes are clean and ready to go. Only older machines have solder in these holes (v1.0 - v1.1), all the newer machines are all unfilled. To remove solder from filled holes - simply put some fresh solder on each hole and heat it up a little them simply use the Multicore No-Clean Desolder Wick (included in delivery). The entire process takes less than 5 minutes.

First remove the second pin (pull it out or cut it off) and place the pin header into the LPC port as demonstrated below.

Turn the board over to solder. The diagram clearly shows how simple and clean this procedure actually is. Even if you take your time you'd be very slow if it took longer than a minute. We recommend you use our solder (included in delivery) the for a nice even flow of solder.

Direct soldering to the LPC BUS

!!! Don´t forget to solder the 9 points to the LPC bus !!!

Bridge the "X" point with the "D0" point if the ModChip doesn´t turn on and boots with the original BIOS (some XBoxe consoles only).

We recommend instead of the 5 wires the optional Aladdin XTREME - LPC FIX which is soldered simply on the motherboard back side.
