PlayStation 2 - DMS-3 PLUS

The DMS-3 PLUS ModChip has 8 boot modes:

  • PS2 Mode: for PlayStation 2 Games
  • PSX Mode: for PSX (PlayStation) Games
  • DVD Mode: for DVD Videos / Movies
  • DEV.olution Mode: to boot applications from the Playstation 2 Memory Card
  • DEV.olution Mode 2: to boot applications from the secound Playstation 2 Memory Card
  • Fast Boot Mode: for faster booting (the PlayStation is in the original mode but the DMS-3 PLUS is activ)
  • Config. Mode: to configuration the DMS3 PLUS
  • Sleep/Stealth Mode: for online games that detect ModChips or PlayStation 2 Utility Discs (like the DVD Player upgrade disc that comes with the Sony DVD Remote), use Sleep / Stealth Mode.

The DMS3 will default to PS2 mode if no button is pressed during startup.

All Modes are chosen by holding down a specific button on the first-player controller when turning ON / RESETTING the PlayStation 2.

How to deactivate the DMS3 PLUS ModChip:

Sleep / Stealth Mode is selected by putting the PS-2 in to "STANDBY" mode (redlight) and turning ON the system by pressing in "EJECT" and holding it for 1 SECOND. This will completely disable the DMS-3 Mod-Chip until you reset the system or power off.
